Orange will instead be rethinking their IPTV strategy, as they aren’t too keen on just offering an identikit version of BT’s Vision service. It is thought that some sort of hybrid IPTV/mobile TV tie in might be worked out, with content downloaded to a TV set-top box being able to be transferred to compatible handsets, in a similar vein to the Sony Play TV platform, which essentially turns the PlayStation 3 console into a Freeview box, and allows you to watch content on the PSP handset.

Orange have recently launched a new deal which sees Orange Pay Monthly mobile customers on 18 month contracts able to qualify for a £10 discount off of any of the Orange Broadband products, which effectively makes the Home Starter package (£10 a month for up to 8Mbps speed and 10GB usage) a free offering.
